Of Their Privacy

“Privacy is that which is so universally ignored amongst them all, that no person, either man or woman, is aware of it; eroded in the pursuit of convenience; it is ordinary to have the location of every person freely available to all. If others choose rather to hide their whereabouts in a vain effort not to remain observable, as few of them do, they are not commended, but are hindered rather; immense pressure is placed upon said individuals until the point at which they find themselves conforming. The observers are very good at applying this pressure, and disguise it so well, that the common man does not perceive it so; even the strongest relinquish and why shouldn’t they? The common man has nothing to express and thus, nothing to hide.

“In return for the knowledge of every move made, the observers grant small portions of entertainment; shots of dopamine which provide an excellent mechanism of control. The aim, of course, is not to entertain the public but to keep it sedated; a life of bare contentedness does not spark much desire for revolution. Where that desire does manifest, the spark may be quelled through the thinly veiled threat of the private becoming public; the entertainment factor is but a suitable distraction from this true method of control. The knowledge of man’s every secret is eternally powerful; the desire to keep a past life from being publicly aired often outweighs the desire for change.

“The vast majority of the populace find themselves enthralled by the generosity of their observers; their boot firmly placed on the neck of creativity, robbing it of life; hand a citizen an empty canvas and they would not paint but instead admire the brushwork. Consider the scale of this subjugation of the masses and ask yourself is such an achievement not worthy of admiration. The effortless inducement of an artificial depression, the suppression of all independent thought; the common people deem it a privilege to live in a society where such methods of oppression are not uncommon. They lead lives of ignorance; even the greatest and wisest worship their superiors as all-knowing deities; although it is not a state of affairs which encourages choice.
